Happy Anniversary!
This is a quote from Walt Parazaider: "We gathered around my apartment, February 15, nineteen hundred and sixty seven.. and said 'this is what we're gonna do.. we're just gonna walk it like we talk it'". Yep, 45 years ago TODAY, Walt, along with Jimmy Pankow, Lee Loughnane, Robert Lamm, Terry Kath, and Danny Seraphine shook hands and thus, 'The Big Thing' was born. (Remember that Peter joined the band later on in the year, after he quit his band, 'The Exceptions'). Son, Congratulations, guys... thank you all for forming one of rock's most unique bands and thank you for continuing as strong as ever.

Happy 45th Anniversary to the best group of all time! Love ALL of your music! Your concerts rock with the best group of guys to perform, period! Each of you are admired, have a special bond with your fan base, and continue to entertain with the rarest of abilities. Congratulations in making the decision in Walt's apartment in 1967 and never looking back! Now, would you please hurry up and put Tulsa back on your tour schedule? :-)

Happy 45th! I grew up on the southside of Chicago. The music is in my blood. My daugter-in-law, who loves their music, got to "Sing with Chicago" at their concert in Orlando last year. The Chicago music truly passes down from generation to generation. Only one thing to say on their anniversary...They are a class band and a class act...hope they keep performing for many more years!
