Couldn't agree more about the Upstate/ Western New York Dates.

As a matter of fact, they haven't been in Western New York for a Show in YEARS!! 

Always seem to have to "Cross The Creek" into Canada to see them.

I was also at that fabulous Syracuse Christmas Show, years ago.

 I remember that night that it Snowed like crazy as I walked out of the Old Downtown Theater the show was at.

 

It was so awesome to hear them do a few of those Christmas songs live!!

THey used to be at the NYS Fair every summer in the late 80's and early 90's..  I have seen them there as well as the Landmark twice in Syracuse.. Saratoga was a great Venue and only a 2 hr drive for me. Love the Turning Stone only 3 miles from me.  I bought tickets to see them at Hershey and Salmanalac (sp) being Western NY way, but just a bit to far... I sold them to fellow fans on this site : )

They use to play at Melody Fair (A small in the Round GREAT venue!) in Western New York almost every year.

I have been to Turning SAtone to see REO, Styxs and 38 Special.  At that time, no alocohol sold or allowed in the venue.

Has that changed?

 

I am assuming that any close by show for the Buffalo area from now on will be in Niagara Falls Canada, at The Casino.

Great place to see a band, but they tend to play a little shorter set it seems at the casino shows...

 

I am hitting the road this year for sure though to see a few shows.

 

NOTHING like a Chicago Road Trip!!

We were at the REO, Styx, 38 Special show as well- GREAT SHOW!  My 6 yr old LOVES REO : )

Beer, wine and drinks are now served at the Casino.  Not that it matters to me and I do not appreciate the occasional beer spill on myself or company during a show.  Although, I do see how it can make a show more fun!?!

Event Center is a great venue.. I hate when you feel like you have to sit in the Casino Showrooms!

That was a TRULY fun show!! 

Totally agree on the Beer spill issue.

Just curious if they had changed the Policy. 

An older crowd with a couple of drinks in them tend to be a little more relaxed and fun then one that isn't.

 

Nothing worse than going to a Chicago Show and being the only person around me that wants to just have FUN!!

I want them to COME BACK TO WICHITA KANSAS  we have a new arena and would love to see them there

Being from Sunny or Snowy Syracuse, I think we should start on on line petition to get them back for another Christmas show !!! We promise no blizzard this time !!! LOL

Hey Jim,  Chicago played two shows at the beautiful Fallsview Casino, Niagara Falls Canada  in 2008.

That is where I'd love to see them again if they play "in the area".   But if you get your wish of them playing near you in Buffalo, I'll be there !!

 

P.S. They are playing in Toronto on Feb 4th !
