Happy Thanksgiving Chicago

I have been so fortunate to have been in the audience almost every year since my first show at Tanglewood in 1970.  How many good things in life last this long?  My latest show was just a few weeks ago in Schenectady. So, to the great musicians that are Chicago, thank you for great music and great shows.  And I look forward to more great shows next year and the new CD.  I hope that all members are home with their families enjoying family time after another tremendous year.See More

Waterbury, CT Show

I have been going to see Chicago nearly every year since 1970.  So, for my birthday, I treated my self and drove over to Waterbury, CT to see my favorite band.  Yes - that is 41 years of Chicago concerts for me.  How fortunate I am to still be able to go to Chicago shows all these years.  Few great things in life last this long! And Chicago was in top form tonight.  As always, Nate did a tremendous job of sound mixing for the band.  That is no easy task with 9 musicians, all the vocals and all…See More

Bill Van Alstyne replied to Tom Dynes's discussion What song (that is never played live) would you just die to hear in concert?
"I was lucky enough to hear Goodbye live during the 1971 and 1972 tours. I actually liked the live versions better as the song had a more mystical sound to it. It really came alive in concert. Some may ask how I heard this song in 1971 as it was…"
