"Thanks for the great story, Robert. May I (we) call you Bobby? Probably not, lol.  This story brings only one thought to mind, McCartney/Chicago Tour! Although, in my book, it's Chicago/McCartney.  Funniest part of this story: hearing…"

"Lovely story. One of you cats should write a biography. Oh how I would love to learn more details of inter-relationships, places and moments, little stories that on the surface appear insignificant but leave great impressions. Your Memoir 1 is a…"

"You're right about the remastered version; I had almost forgotten about that. It has an intense jam feel to it, because it's not for the money, so to speak. It shows a great insight to how Chicago works at creating and editing. Thanks for…"

Gerry replied to Bryan M. Ory's discussion Byblos
"I do love this song. It does take many twists and keeps building. I like the version on the remastered Chicago 7 with the rehearsal of Byblos. The pace is even faster and the acoustic guitars are very very prominent. It has more a Latin/ South…"

Byblos

I've seen discussions along the "what's your favorite song" line of thought. How about this, what are your thoughts about the Terry Kath penned "Byblos?"From the first song of the first album, I've always been amazed at how Terry could take a song from point A to point Z, and make so many twists and turns along the way. Somehow in the end, it all makes sense! This, to me, is the true genius of Terry Kath.See More

I will check out your bands website. Sounds like you are in a great city to be in the music business. We just play occasionally at bars and private functions, hard to get gigs for 10 piece band! Our website is  niteflite4hire.com     Have a great Saturday.

There have been other discussions about the book before, and they didn't seem to pull them off. Not sure what happened this time. And yes, singing with Chicago last May was a thrill of a lifetime. They were such a great bunch of guys. That wasn't my favourite song to sing as it is very high. I play in a 10 piece band, 5 horns, and we do lots of Chicago, but not that one.  Doug

Hi Bryan, wondering what happened to your discussion about Danny's book, Street Player. I posted a response and now don't see that discussion anywhere. It is a good book, with lots of inside stories on the band. You will enjoy it. Doug
