Chicago on the Radio

FYI: It was brought to my attention (by the PD at the station) that on a previous post, I mentioned WHLI AM. THE CALL LETTERS ARE 1100AM (not 1200). Check it out on line, as they have the great sense of having CHICAGO AS PERFORMERS OF THE WEEK (including the new songs: "Something's Comin...", and, "More Today..."), The entire playlist is fabulous. See More

CHICAGO at Coney Island, NY

Having seen Chicago in so many, many venues since Carnegie Hall, I was shocked to see my all-time favorites playing FOR FREE at Coney island on August 20, 2013. Living in the NYC, and going to that beach literally 100's of times over the years, of course, I'm planning on attending. Has anyone ever been to one of these Coney Island concerts? I don't want to be disappointed by not being able to even get near the stage, see or hear the band.See More

More Today...Yesterday

A terrific song covered by the best artists of our time! It fits right into that sixties Chicago (the city) pop sound; e.g. "The Buckinghams" and "B.S.& T". I can recall the original release, as I would listen to it on NYC's "77 WABC" with Herb Oscar Anderson as I got ready for grammar schoo,l putting on  my Catholic School uniform (not good, I hated school). In later years, the song became a staple of the last (and missed) oldie station in NYC, WCBS-FM. I can still hear my dearly departed…See More

New Clips

Can't wait for the finished product. This stuff is terrific. Let's up the radio P.D.'s wake up and give it some play once released. "Something's Coming" reminds me of a little "John Legend-ish". It's like full circle back to the CTA through at least C7. Great...keep it coming.See More

That's Great. As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to play the CTA & Carnegie Hall ALBUMS this afternoon (Yes, I am a dinosaur and still enjoy the vinyl). Keep on going, guys!

Chicago/EWF on Yahoo

Any comments on Chicago adding "Street Player" to the line-up on this past week's live Yahoo concert from Az?

"Chicago 13", from where the song came, probably (I'm guessing) one of the lowest selling "first-run" albums, with no big hits, and having Donnie Dacus on lead. A fan since '69, personally, I could think of a lot of other "obscure" songs to add to the line-up: e.g.: "Lowdown"; "Flight 602", "Something In This City...", "Byblos", and one of my favorites, though not very…
