Show Review - Chicago in South Carolina!

I attended two show last weekend, the Township Auditorium in Columbia (3/18) and the Peace Center in Greenville (3/19). Collectively, the greatest Chicago shows I have ever seen, and I think it is a very special time for the band, reinvigorated vocally with Jeff Coffey. I have always loved the Horns, and right now, Chicago's vocals are absolutely perfect too.I consider myself very lucky to have seen three founding members, hearing Robert singing his classics with a voice just as resonant and…See More

Jimmy Pankow's Opus: Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon

Some might have seen this on Facebook, and I wanted to share here too, an essay I wrote called "Jimmy Pankow's Opus: Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon." Now I would really love to know what Jimmy's original titles were for all the movements, something he talks about in the movie. Colour My World was the only movement which didn't have a baroque-inspired titled.Every time Chicago plays “Ballet For A Girl In Buchannon” live onstage, the audience is treated to hearing a rock masterpiece that is much…See More

Walter Parazaider, Dec. 1969

This is my favorite picture of Walt. I found it on ebay, and it don't believe it has been published since it was taken. It was from their first tour of the UK, and I think taken at the Revolution Club, first week of Dec. 1969.

Dear Stephanie Carta,

I wanted to welcome you to "Chicago the Band Music Community". This web site has changed a lot since 2010.
I particularly enjoyed the "Premium Access" in it's previous form. I am hoping "Chicago -Admin." will change it back to function more like it did from 2010 thru 2014.
It has been great being made aware of new audio and video releases and events before the general public was alerted.
"Soundboard" recordings are my favorite! These audio recordings are from live performances. Some were free downloads, and others were available for a $1.00 to $1.50 each. They made for real collectors items.
If you enjoy photos and videos, both professional and amateur, you can spend hours looking through these.
On behalf of all members of "Chicago the Band Music Community", we all welcome you and hope you enjoy your membership as much as each of us have.

Sincerely,

PAUL PROCTOR, CTBMC Member
