Went to see the band at the air show Monday July 26th. Have seen Chicago at least 10 times before and every one agreed that they never sounded better. Seen them in many different venues and was absolutely blown away this time. My wife, being rather cautious about using superlatives told me that she thought they were awesome as well. One question though, it was quite obvious that 2 members were missing. I believe Tris and Walt were not able to make the concert. Hope all is well with both. Just… Continue

Was just sitting here thinking if I ever had the opportunity to ask my favorite band any question over
coffee and we were just chatting around:
maybe I would ask Keith
: "Why do you never seem to age"
probably ask Robert:
"Do you think musicians have a responsibility to have a social or political message in their music?"
for Jimmy, Walt & Lee
"What is one of your most memorable onstage moments?"
...hmmmmm Jason… Continue

I am so excited to finally be in the community! I was so blessed to be able to participate in the ACS Sing With Chicago event in late May in Sioux Saulte Marie. I will be posting some video very soon. If you get the opportunity to participate in this event you will have the time of your life. It was so much FUN! I remember when I saw Chicago in Indianapolis when I was 13, standing in front of the stage dreaming of how COOL it would be to be there! WOW! What a dream come true! Love these guys… Continue

Great show at KC's Starlight Theater; very hot temps but enjoyed having the band in town again; always good to hear Chicago music live.

I had an great experience this summer to be able to see the band two nights in a row both in Atlanta at Chastain Park on Monday July 12 and then the next night in Cincinnati at the PNC Pavillion....which is the first time the band has performed at that fairly new venue. And after 43 years the band sounds as good as it has ever sounded.
I do believe that the addition of Lou Parnini has given the group a tighter and fresher
sound like has been said by the band themselves...the duets and… Continue

Like for many of us, CHICAGO has been a major part of my 50 years of life. I'm at a point now that I really can't remember when the band hasn't been!
And when I finally got to meet the guys backstage last summer, I could then check off one of my major bucket list items!
I would like to share something a bit personal with the fans of this forum--and it's about my brother, Bob, a huge CHICAGO fan, too, who died from a rare form of cancer in 1987 at the age of… Continue

I was at the PNC Art Center show Friday and the Jones Beach show last night and I have to say that it was so amazing! The energy and excitement on the stage was so on fire it was electrifying! You guys are such showmen and really know how to involve the audience and make everyone feel like they are a part of the action. The vocals were superb as always! Everyone was jumpng around dancing on stage and in the audience and by the time the finale started, everyone was on… Continue

Is anyone at liberty to tell us about the wonderful fill-in for Drew at SPAC? His introduction sounded like "Rock," but I wasn't sure that I heard it right. His drum/percussion solo with Tris was fantastic. How long will he be touring with the band?

Malia (Wee One) and My Turning Stone REVIEWPosted by Julie Minckler on July 4, 2010 at 7:58am
Oh my goodness.. Where to start.. Thursday night Malia and I were outside the Casino walking their paths.. Malia tapped me on the shoulder as she realized Robert was walking behind us... It was so hard, but, I didn't want to bother him and I have yet to meet him.. But, I figured this is his day off and I will respect that his job is on Friday night.. So we kept walking like we didn't… Continue

As recently as spring 2009, it appeared Chicago’s days of recording original material might be over.
In an interview last year, keyboardist Robert Lamm revealed that while individual band members were still writing songs, some had concluded there was no point in Chicago releasing new music.
That sentiment was understandable. While… Continue
