Chicago The Band Music Community

The Official Chicago Fan Network

Still flying high after 90 minutes of music, interviews, backstage goofing off and profound explanations from my favorite band members about why they love music. Didn't want it to end, although I was disappointed with the video and could have been content with a rousing 25 or 6 to 4 encore. The Christmas music is excellent and watching the guys do so many of the songs from O Christmas Three was a real treat. Only three songs in concert from the album, so I really loved the variety in the movie. I have been going to Chicago concerts since 1975, often with my two daughters, one of whom went to the film with me tonight. I loved watching her play the air guitar with Keith and belt out air horn solos with Lee (she knows all the parts of every song) but mostly I loved the music. Two of my neighbors, neither of whom is a dyed-in-the-wool Chicago groupie like me, went with us and I was thrilled to see them both clapping and swaying to the beat. I think the guys made two new fans in New Jersey tonight. There were only about 25 people in the theater but everyone was on their feet and a distinct "Woo-hoo!" was heard when Getaway ended. The whole thing was a Christmas gift to me. Santa flew in to Burlington, NJ tonight with a very special present for this 70-year-old fan who will be rockin' to this magical music for the rest of my days. Thanks, guys! You are wonderful!
